This policy explains what we store on your device when you visit the Meylo website or use the app, why we do it, and how you keep control.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to remember something between pages or visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage, keep data on your device without sending it back to a server on every request. This policy covers both.
2. What we use, and where
We use very little, and we keep the two surfaces separate:
- The public website uses cookies for your consent choice and, only if you agree, for aggregate audience measurement.
- The application mostly uses local storage on your device: your entries so it works offline, your settings, your language, your theme and your session. That data stays on your device and syncs with your account; it is not audience measurement.
- We use no advertising cookie, no third-party tracker, no social plugin and no cross-site profiling.
3. Your consent
Cookies that are not strictly necessary only run after you accept them:
- before any choice, no measurement cookie is set;
- you can accept everything, refuse everything, or choose category by category;
- your choice is stored for six months, then we ask again;
- you can change or withdraw your choice at any time, with the button below.
4. Categories
We use the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to work and to remember your consent. They cannot be refused, because the site could not honour your choice without them.
- Functional — remember preferences such as your language and your consent settings.
- Analytics — aggregate measurement of how the public site is used, so we can improve it. Optional, and off until you accept.
- Advertising — not used. We set no advertising cookie and we run no ad targeting.
5. Cookies we set
Here is the complete list of cookies set by the Meylo website:

The application also stores your months of entries, your settings and your session on your device. That is local storage, not cookies: it is removed when you sign out, clear the site data, or uninstall the app.
6. Audience measurement
When you accept analytics cookies, the public website uses Google Analytics 4, configured to collect as little as possible:
- the measurement script is loaded only after you accept, never before;
- IP anonymisation is enabled;
- Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled, so your visit is never used for advertising;
- we only look at aggregate figures, such as which pages are read and how visitors reach the app.
7. Browser controls
Beyond our banner, your browser lets you block or delete cookies, in general or site by site, and offers a private browsing mode. The setting is usually under Privacy or Site data. On a mobile device you can also reset the system advertising identifier.
Blocking every cookie is your right, but the site can then no longer remember that you refused measurement, and the banner may come back on every visit.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we update this page and, when consent is affected, we ask you again. The date at the top reflects the current version.
